Spaying and neutering
Spaying and neutering (sometimes called castrating) helps prevent unplanned and unwanted pregnancies and has certain long term health benefits.
To prevent unplanned and unwanted pregnancies in pet’s, spaying and neutering (sometimes called castrating) is recommended. Neutering and spaying cats and dogs is also usually carried out between 4 and 9 months of age. Your pet will need to stay with us for the day so we can monitor their recovery after their surgery. We may advise a buster collar to help prevent stitches from being chewed or pulled out on return home! Some stitches dissolve naturally, but some need to be removed after ten days. We will let you know what to expect and go through your pet’s aftercare routine.
